75-day COVID Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav receives overwhelming response in Maharashtra

<span style="color: #222222;">In Maharashtra, the 75-day COVID Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav in which precautionary doses are being administered to citizens above 18 years of age free of cost at the Government Vaccination Centres has been getting overwhelming response. According to the data released by the State Government, more than 12 lakh eligible beneficiaries have taken the precautionary dose in last 10 days i.e. between 15th and 25th of July.<br />''<br />''A report<br />''<br />''In Maharashtra, the precautionary dose for the people in the age group of 20 to 59 years began from10th May this year. However, since the 75-day COVID Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav began on 15th of this month people in good number are visiting the Vaccination Centres in the state to take the precautionary dose, as a result of which in last 10 days more than 12 lakh people have been administered these doses in the age group of 15 to 59. In comparison to the earlier period, when the State Government started giving precautionary doses from 10th of May this year, the present drive has been much more impactful with regards to the people taking precautionary doses; as it showed a rise of 2.5 per cent.  <br />''<br />''In 16 districts, there has been a 10-time increase in people taking the precautionary dose. These districts include Ahmednagar, Gadchiroli, Amravati, Gondiya, Hingoli, Osmanabad, Parbhani, Latur, Nandurbar, Sangli, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Yavatmal. The highest of 42 per cent has been recorded in Gadchiroli district. In Mumbai and Thane too, the COVID Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav has made positive impact as more than one lakh 20 thousand have taken precautionary dose in Mumbai; whereas in Thane it is one lakh 10 thousand since 15th till 25th of this month.</span><br />
