The government on Thursday said that 74 life saving drugs which includes 23 medicines to treat cancer patients will be brought under price control. Giving this information in the Lok Sabha,Chemical and Fertilizer Minister Srikant Jena said that under the draft National Pharmaceutical Policy, there is a proposal to completely exempt all anti-cancer drugs from all central taxes. He said that no time frame has yet been set for finalising the policy.<br/>
