700 workers admitted in hospital following food poisoning complaint

Panic struck in a multinational garment factory on the outskirts of Bangalore today when several workers complained of vomiting, discomfort and severe giddiness. Around 700 workers rushed to Narayana Hrudayalaya and Sparsh Hospital for medical examination.<br/><br/>Dr. Murli Mohan, Consultant Physician in the hospital informed our Correspondent in Bangalore that one woman is admitted to ICU and around 250 workers are under observation in the hospital. Around 70 workers are suspected of mild Gastroenteritis and diarrhea, he said. Subhash Gudimane, Additional Superintendent of Police, Bangalore District, has informed that all the workers were treated New Year eve dinner yesterday, after which they took ill early in the morning today.
