A record 70 per cent voter turnout has been registered in the second and final phase of the Gujarat Assembly elections today. Polling was held for 95 Assembly constituencies of the state. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, the Chief Election Commissioner V.S Sampath said that the polling was by and large peaceful. He said, an average of 70.2 per cent turnout has been recorded including the first and second phase of polling for all 182 Assembly constituencies of the State.
