The Police officials in Afghanistan say that seven villagers were shot dead near the Pakistan border when a border patrol opened fire mistaking them to be insurgents. When the guards recovered the bodies, they found neither weapons nor ammunition. Local people confirmed that the dead have been villagers gathering wood. The police officials said the shooting was being investigated and six border guards were being questioned.
