At least seven people were killed in a coordinated attack at Iranian Parliament and the mausoleum of Ayatollan Khomeini today. <br/><br/>The Iranian Intelligence Ministry said, security forces had arrested a terrorist team planning a third attack, without giving further details. Islamic State terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attacks. The attacks, targeting parliament and the shrine of the Republic's revered founder, Ayatollah Khomeini, took place less than a month after the re-election of President Hassan Rouhani.<br/><br/>Iran's state broadcaster IRIB reported that one attacker detonated a suicide vest and one was killed by security forces and an assailants was arrested, quoting the Governor of Tehran. Tasmin news agency said, there were unconfirmed reports the attackers had taken four hostages inside the parliament building. Meanwhile, Indian Ambassador to Iran, Sourabh Kumar speaking to a TV channel said that all Indians are safe.
