In Uttar Pradesh, seven more people have succumbed to deadly encephalitis or brain fever in the eastern region during past 24 hours. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that death toll due to encephalitis has mounted to 329 in the region. 33 new patients of brain fever have been admitted to various hospitals of the eastern Uttar Pradesh during past 24 hours. Two cases Japanese Encephalitis have also been reported from CSJM Medical College Hospital in Lucknow. As many as 311 patients are still undergoing treatment in the hospitals of east UP.
