<span style="color: #222222;">In Tamil Nadu, seven girl children were drowned in a river in the Cuddalore district this afternoon. They were all aged between 12 and 19 and were from the nearby villages of Nellikuppam town in the district. They are reported to have gone for bathing in the check dam across the Kedilam River. As the flow of water began to rapidly rise, the victims drowned as they could not swim. The passers-by pulled them out from the waters and rushed them to the nearby hospital where the doctors declared them brought dead.
