A small tsunami has been generated off Vanuatu after a powerful 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck off the South Pacific island nation.The 22 centimetre wave was observed off Port Vila on Tuesday.The Hawaii-based warning centre says there is no tsunami threat for other coastal areas in the Pacific. The US Geological Survey says the quake hit about 40 kilometres northwest of Port Vila at a depth of 35 kilometres.
