7.2 magnitude earthquake strikes off coast of Fiji

A 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Fiji, causing a tsunami warning for parts of the pacific near the nation in the south Pacific Ocean. <br/><br/>The US Geological Survey said, the quake hit at a depth of 15 kms and was followed by two smaller aftershocks. There were no reports of any damage or casualty and the tsunami warning was later lifted.<br/><br/>In 2004, a quake and tsunami had killed a total of 2 lakh 30,000 people in a dozen countries, most of them in Aceh, Indonesia.
