6th BRICS Summit begins in Fortaleza City of Brazil

The 6th BRICS Summit has started in the eastern coastal city Fortaleza of Brazil today.

Prime minister Narendra Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, South African President Jacob Zuma and host country President Ms Dilma Roussef are participating in the first private working session of the Summit.

The meeting is likely to last for two hours.

There are several issues including set up of the proposed development bank which are to be discussed at the meeting. However the outcome of the meeting will be briefed by the officials when it is over.

The more details are awaited.

The atmosphere and ambience in the coastal city Fortaleza of Brazil is very pleasant and conducive to hold a summit of BRICS stature.

The leaders of growing and major world economies of BRICS nation are together here to delve upon the issues which are common, regional as well as international in nature.

PM Modi is flanked by his minister Nirmala Sitharaman and senior officials of various ministries.
