In Nepal, Indian Ambassador Ranjit Rae led the Republic Day celebrations. He hoisted the national flag at Indian Embassy ,Kathmandu and read out the message of President Pranab Mukherjee. Consul General B.C. Pradhan unfurled tricolour at Birgunj.<br/> <br/>Our Kathmandu correspondent reports that on this occasion reaffirming the commitment of Government of India towards economic development of Nepal, Embassy gifted 20 ambulances and four buses to various hospitals, non-profitable charitable organisations and educational institutions.<br/> <br/>Hundreds of people including senior leaders, diplomats, representatives of various sections of Nepalese society and prominent Indian citizens attended reception hosted by Indian Ambassador at Bharat Bhawan. A cultural troupe from Manipur presented " Manipuri Raasleela" and folk dance on the occasion.
