Foreign ministers and senior officials from 68 countries will meet today in Washington to discuss the next steps to defeat Islamic State. The State Department said, the goal of the conference is to accelerate international efforts to defeat IS in the remaining areas it holds in Iraq and Syria and maximize pressure on its branches, affiliates and networks. Acting State Department spokesman Mark Toner said that the coalition is at an important stage of the fight against the terror group. Today's discussions will also focus on how to help Mosul rebuild and ways to tackle Islamic State operations in Libya and elsewhere.
