67 children admitted to hospital in WB after administration of wrong vaccine

In West Bengal, at least 67 children have been admitted to hospital in Aram Bagh in Hooghly district after they were mistakenly given Hepatitis B virus vaccines instead of Polio vaccine by Health worker. Unofficial sources, however, put the number of hospitalized children at 81. Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has asked for a report on the status of the affected children and also how the mistake took place.

40 children are said to be in serious condition. The affected children have shown signs of nausea and heavy sweating.
