In West Bengal, 660 confirmed cases of dengue have been reported through out the State so far. According to Health Department sources, over 400 cases have been tested positive in Kolkata alone. The official death toll by the disease has remained three so far. Our Kolkata Correspondent Arijit Chakraborty reports that the State Government has alerted all Hospitals and Municipalities as the dengue affected cases are increasing. The Kolkata Municipal Corporation will publish a White Paper on the outbreak of dengue in the City tomorrow. The Minister of State for Health Ms. Chandrima Bhattacharjee told AIR that there is no reason for panic. She said that Government has taken all possible steps to contain the spread of the disease.
