63 devotees killed in UP stampede; probe ordered

In Uttar Pradesh, about 63 devotees including 37 children and 26 women of a Godman Kripalu Maharaj killed today in Partapgarh district in an stampede.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that more than 100 injured in which 29 are hospitalised in Pratapgarh in the Ashram hospital. Two critical children have been shifted to S.R.N.hospital Allahabad. 37 injured have been discharged after primary treatment.<br/><br/>Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Secretary Shashank Shekar in Lukcnow told that Chief Minister has instructed to two Cabinet Colleagues Swami Prasad Mourya and Naseemuddin Sidiqqui to supervise the rescue and relief work. Both the ministers have been arrived in Pratapgarh.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Chief Minister has ordered a high level inquiry. The Commissioner of Allahabad Division will investigate the cause of the tragedy. Chief Minister also expressed her grief and sorrow for the bereaved family.<br/>
