The death toll due to flash flood in Ladakh region of Jammu & Kashmir has risen to 137.The rescuers have intensified search operation for nearly 600 missing persons in Leh town ravaged by devastating cloud burst. Three hundred seventy peple have also been injured in the calamity.The Jammu and Kashmir police chief Kuldip Khoda said that the toll may go up as several remote villagers are yet to be accessed by rescue team.Thousand have been rendered homeless. Our correspondent reports that a village Choglamsar is swept away following devastating flood and over 400 to 500 people are feared trapped under debris.Bihar Regiment also lost their 31 jawans in Turtuk area. The Indian Airforce aircrafts carrying relief material have already reached there. The arrangements were made to bring back people including foreign tourists stranded in Leh.The Union Minister Farooq Abdullah, Ghulam Navi Azad and Prithwiraj Chouhan have visited the flood affected area to take stock of the situation.
