<span style="color: #222222;">External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar today said, Six year exceptional energetic diplomacy standing as testimony to country's enhanced global standing. Making a statement on the COVID-19 situation and the impact on Indians abroad in the Lok Sabha, the minister said, under the Vande Bharat Mission, over 45 lakh persons from 98 countries have returned to India. The Minister also said, the Government also facilitated over One Lakh foreign passport holders to return from India during the pandemic. Dr Jaishankar said that repatriation would not have been possible without the cooperation of partner governments.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp; </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr. Jaishankar said, the Government has now focused on the Indians going back to their usual places of work. He informed, that the Government has concluded air bubbles with 27 nations so far, for their safe return. The Minister said that the Government is putting untiring efforts to help the renewed livelihoods of Indians abroad. He also said that the Government is urging the partner governments, with a special focus in Gulf countries, to look sympathetically at the employment of Indian citizens. He said that the government is also working on issues like compensation, re-employment and re-skilling, with the partner governments.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Similar statement was made by Dr Jaishankar also in the Rajya Sabha.</span>
