6 wrestlers who failed in their dope tests also fail their 'B' sample tests

Reports say that the six wrestlers who failed in their dope tests last week have also failed their 'B' sample tests . The tests have been conducted by National Anti-Doping Agency. Four of them — men's freestyle wrestlers Rajiv Tomar, an Arjuna Awardee, Sumit and Mausam Khatri and women's freestyle wrestler Gursharanpreet Kaur were removed from the Commonwealth Games squad. Rahul Mann and Joginder Singh are the other two wrestlers. The 'A' samples of the six wrestlers taken by NADA at Commonwealth Games trials had tested positive for stimulant methylhexanamine, which was added as a banned substance only this year by World Anti-Doping Agency. P.T.I. quoting sources reports that the 'B' samples of these dope tainted wrestlers have also tested positive in NADA tests conducted on Saturday. The agency reports that as per the WADA Rules, the wrestlers will appear before NADA Anti Doping Disciplinary Panel headed by a retired Sessions Judge.This panel will decide on sanction to be given to them.
