In Gujarat, more than six people have lost their lives in flood-affected areas of Saurashtra region. AIR Bhuj correspondent reports that more than 5,000 people have been shifted to the safer places in Jamnagar in Porbandar district. Communication has been cut off from many villages due to the flood. Food packets, water and medicines are being distributed in the low-lying areas.
