In China, six people have died after their van caught fire in the northwest Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. According to a spokesman of the local government, the incident occurred on Wednesday morning in Jinghe country in Bortala Mongol Prefecture. The spokesman said three of the nine people inside the van managed to escape. He said it is unknown how the fire broke out.
