A two story building in Mumbai’s Sainik Nagar locality of Thane district collapsed this evening. According to initial reports at least six people were died and four people were injured in this incident. All the injured have been admitted in Kalwa Hospital. There are many more people believed to be still under the debris. AIR Mumbai correspondent informed that the rescue work is going on as the fire brigade and local administration is trying to rescue the trapped people.Mayor of the Thane Municipal Corporation Ashok Vaiti told reporters that the chawl was unauthorised and several notices were issued to the residents to vacant the chawl.
