In Uttrakhand, six people have died while three others injured in a landslide incident at Paangla village of Dharchula tehsil in Pithoragarh District. AIR correspondent reports that out of six deceased one is from Nepal while others are localities of Dharchula Tehsil.

The district administration along with ITBP and localities swung into the action and launched the search and rescue operation. All six bodies have been recovered. The three injured persons have been admitted in primary health center of dharchula where condition of one is stated to be critical.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Harish Rawat has expressed his condolences and directed officials to pay solatium to the kin of the dead, and also ordered an enquiry into the incident.
