6 killed, 25 injured in WB road accident

In West Bengal, at least six people were killed and 25 others injured in a road accident at Eastern Metropolitan bypass in Kolkata today. <br/><br/>The incident occurred when a truck collided with a matador van near Garia on the Eastern Metropolitan bypass. Three persons died on the spot while the remaining others succumbed to injuries at hospital. <br/><br/>AIR Kolkata Correspondent reports that the agitated people ransacked a private hospital in the city following they refused to take admission of the injured persons. <br/><br/>Local people set on fire the cafeteria of the hospital. <br/><br/>Police lathi charged and opened one round fire in air to bring the situation under control. <br/><br/>Some policemen were injured during the brick batting with the agitated mob. <br/><br/>According to official sources, the situation is under control now. <br/><br/>Strong police contingent including combat force have been deployed in the area.<br/>
