In Uttarakhand, at least six people were killed and two others injured in a landslide yesterday in Pangla village of Pithoragarh district. A team of Sashastra Seema Bal, SSB and Indo-Tibetan Border Police, ITBP were rushed to the spot for rescue operations.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Harish Rawat expressed his condolences and directed officials to pay solatium to the kin of the deceased, and also ordered an enquiry into the incident.
