6 injured in Pak firing in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, in the latest incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistani Rangers pounded scores of civilian areas as well as Indian positions with heavy mortar shelling in Shamba and Hiranagar sectors along the International border today. <br/><br/>The overnight shelling in these sectors left at least six civilians injured while a number of houses, buildings and other structures and livestock suffered a huge loss. Pakistani Rangers started unprovoked firing last evening which was effectively retaliated by the BSF and the exchange of fires in some areas lasted uptill 10 am today.<br/><br/>Panic stricken people from the border areas have started their migration to safer places. The Pakistani forces last night enhanced its range of shelling considerably and the fatal mortar shelling even landed in the areas which was considered safer so far.
