In Manipur, six Imphal bound loaded trucks were burnt down on the Shilchar-Imphal National Highway on Friday by the supporters of the economic blockade on the National Highways of Manipur called by the United Naga Council(UNC). Two of the six trucks were carrying medicine while the remaining four were carrying cement.In the state capital Imphal, prices of essential commodities have gone up considerably due to the economic blockades. AIR correspondent reports, onion is being sold at 90 rupees per kilogram and potato at 40 rupees. Petrol is costing 150 rupees per litre in the black market. Petrol and diesel have already been rationed in the state. Two kilometers long queues of vehicles are seen in front of petrol pumps waiting their turn.
