In Kerala, six persons including three children and a woman were killed when a van lost control and plunged into Meenachal river in Kottayam district this morning.<br/><br/>Those killed include two pedestrians. The van which lost control hit the pedestrians killing them on the spot before plunging into the river from Kidangoor bridge. <br/><br/>Efforts are on to retrieve the body of a three year old child from the river. Three others travelling in the van escaped with injuries. <br/><br/>The children who died in the accident were returning after seeing off their mother to Italy at the Cochin International Airport.
