In Jammu and Kashmir, six Indian Army personnel were killed and one is missing when a massive avalanche struck the Siachen Glacier early today. A rescue operation is underway to trace the missing.

Talking to AIR, Army PRO, Lt Colonel J.S. Brar said that the tragedy occurred in Sub-sector Hanif of the glacier around 6 AM this morning when troops were moving between posts at 19,000 feet height.
