A strong earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale on Monday jolted Dhaka and the entire northern region, infusing panic among the people who were celebrating the festival of 'Eid ul Fitre'.<br/><br/>However, no casualty was reported. A meteorologist told PTI that a strong tremor was recorded with its epicentre at Bhutan-China frontiers, 462 kilometres north and northeast of Dhaka around 3.53 PM local time and lasted for 20 seconds. This was the fourth earth quake in the region in the past one and half month.
