A 6.1 magnitude earthquake shook the Pacific coast of Costa Rica last night. According to the US Geological Survey, the offshore quake centered 74 kilometres southwest of the capital San Jose at a depth of 29 kilometres below the sea. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
