In Haryana, the 5th Pinjore Heritage Festival one of the three major ferstivals of state will be organized from December 17 to 19, 2010 at Pinjore Gardens. Union Minister for Tourism, Housing and Poverty Alleviation Kumari Selja will inaugurate the festival on Friday.While stating this at Chandigarh on Thursday, Haryana Tourism, Hospitality, Transport and Civil Aviation Minister Mr. O.P.Jain said that the Heritage Festival is being organised with the financial support of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. With the help of the liberal funds provided by the Union Ministry of Tourism for up-gradation of infrastructure, beautification and illumination of Pinjore Garden, it has geared up for increased tourist arrival. In the festival Sham-E-Qawwali Muqabla will be held by world famous Qawwals like Ustad Yusuf Aazad and Baby Naaz and Sham-E-Ghazal by famous Jaipur Gharana’s Ustad Ahmed Hussain and Ustad Mohmed Hussain will be the centre of attraction. On inauguration day Zila Khan the Sufi legend of the new millennium will entertain the tourists. In addition, the renowned day performers include Kalbelia Sapera Dance -Jaipur, Kacchi Ghori – Ajmer, Puppet Show-Chandigarh, Dhol Nagara-Banchari-Hodal, Bagpiper-Kaithal, Been Sapera-Panipat, Sarangi Vadak-Yamuna Nagar, Bhangra Gidda, Bioscope-Delhi and Folk Dances. The schools and colleges of Panchkula, Kalka and Pinjore would enthrall the visitors with their folk dances and cultural programs. Cultural evenings would be hosted on all the three days during evening with the support of the Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs Department, Haryana. The teams for the evening cultural program have been got arranged from North Centeral Zonal Cultural Centre (NCZCC), Allahabad.Most gifted artistes have been invited who would regale the audience by showcasing their talents in their inimitable style. A number of competitions have been planned for children like painting , rangoli , face painting, mehandi, fancy dess and Sudoku competition. Mr Jagannath Pahadia, Governor Haryana would be the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of the festival on December 19,2010.
