The Minister of Tribal Affairs, Mr. Kantilal Bhuria today inaugurated 5th National Tribal Craft Expo 2010 – AADISHILP in New Delhi today. The objective of the Expo is to provide a platform for tribal artisans to showcase their rich and ethnic art and craft. A weeklong exhibition has been organized by Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED). Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Government has been providing financial assistance to TRIFED to provide market for tribal products under the brand name ‘TRIBES INDIA. Mr Bhuria said that it is in the process of establishing a network of retail outlets across the country to provide market for tribal products. AIR correspondent reports that artisans from all the predominantly tribal States are participating in this Expo. Over 100 stalls have been set up, exhibiting different tribal products in Metal, Terracotta, Textile, Bamboo, Jewellery and others.<br/>
