The 5th India – European Union Seminar on Employment, Occupational Safety and Health will begin in New Delhi from Monday. According to an oficial release, various issues related to occupational safety and health in sectors including manufacturing , Ports, Mines and Construction sector will be discussed in the two day seminar.

Deliberations will also help strengthening of the enforcement systems by enhancing capabilities in the modern techniques of inspection, chemical process safety, hazard identification and risk assessment and auditing. It is expected that EU and Indian government experts, social partners and other stakeholders will have an opportunity during the deliberations to exchange their experiences and best practices.

The Seminar is being attended by the members of the 27 member European Union, representatives of International Labour Organization.
