In Mizoram, about 59 per cent polling was recorded for the lone Lok Sabha seat and by-poll to the Hrangturzo Assembly seat. The official figures are yet to come.

The main contest is between ruling Congress nominee and sitting MP C. L. Ruala and his main rival Robert Romawia Royte, an independent candidate sponsored by the United Democratic Front (UDF), an alliance of eight opposition parties. Aam Admi party has fielded former Secretary and retired IAS officer – Lalman Zuala.
