In Manipur, 57 militants from ten insurgent outfits have surrendered to government. They laid down their arms this afternoon before the state Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh at the Headquarters of the Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South) at Mantripukhri in Imphal. The militants handed over arms ammunitions including forty-three pistols, six AK-56 Rifles, two AK-47 Rifles, and three Carbines. The surrendered militants are eighteen from the People’s United Liberation Front, four from the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup, six each from the Kuki National Liberation Front and the People’s Liberation Army, nine from the People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak, two from the United Tribal Liberation Army, five each from the Kangleipak Communist Party and the United National Liberation Front, one each from the Pakkan Reunification Army and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (K).
