The President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil presented the 56th National Film Awards at an impressive function in New Delhi last evening. The prestigious Dada Phalke award for life time achievement was presented to renowned cinematographer, V. K Murthy. Presenting the award Mrs. Patil said, film industry can play an important role in conveying message of good values to society for eradication of harmful social evils. <br/><br/>The Best Film Award has been bagged by Anirudh Roy Choudhary for Bengali film ‘Antaheen’ and Tamil Director, Bala got it for best direction. Priyanka Chopra got the best actress award for the Hindi feature film " FASHION" and Kangana Ranaut, the best supporting actress award. Upendra Limaye has been adjudged as best actor and Arjun Ram Pal the best supporting actor award.
