Portugal drew with the United States, 2-2 in a Group-G match of the Football World Cup at Manaus, early this morning, to keep their chances of a last-16 berth alive.
AIR correspondent reports that to book a place in the knock-out round, Portugal will have to win their final group match against Ghana, and hope that US loses their last group match against Germany.
Belgium has become the first team from Group-H to make it to the last-16 stage. Divock Origi's 88th minute strike in Belgium's second group match at Rio de Janeiro last night, helped the dark horses beat Russia, 1-0, to not only top Group-H, but also book a place in the knock-out stage.
In the other Group-H fixture, Algeria beat Korea Republic, 4-2.
The final round of the group matches will begin from tonight. In Group-B, Netherlands will take on Chile at S?o Paulo, while Spain will meet Australia at Curitiba. Both matches will be played at 9:30 PM Indian Time.
In Group-A, Brazil will clash with Cameroon at Bras?lia, and Mexico will play Croatia at Recife. These two matches will be played at 1:30 AM.
