<span style="color: #222222;">In Gujarat, 56.24 per cent turnout was recorded during the General Elections of Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation held yesterday.<br />''<br />'' According to the State Election Commission, 59.52 per cent polling was recorded in the elections of Thara, Okha and Bhanvad Municipalities. However, 27 per cent poor turnout was recorded in the by-elections of three seats of Ahmedabad and Junagadh Municipal Corporations. Moderate to heavy polling also reported in the by-elections of Municipalities, District Panchayats and Taluka Panchayats in the state. According to the official sources, the polling remains peaceful and no untoward incident reported.  The counting of votes will be taken up on Tuesday.</span><br />
