Wall Street closed higher on Thursday, following the reassurances given by U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to take measures to keep the Americans' deposit safe.

The Nasdaq Composite Index gained one per cent. While the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average both added 0.2 per cent each.
