<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Puducherry, as many as 5,510 persons were administered the COVID vaccine so far. In all, 5,256 health workers were given the vaccine in 16 days while 254 frontline workers were vaccinated in five days.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports out of the 2,582 swab tests taken yesterday, 24 tested positive for the virus, taking the total number of active cases in the Union Territory to 284. Twenty four persons were discharged in the last 24 hours. Ten each were from Puducherry and Mahe and four from Karaikal . No deaths were reported.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Presently, 115 persons are being treated in hospitals and another 169 positive cases are under home isolation in the union territory. So far, 39,440 persons were infected by the virus of which, 38,500 were treated and discharged and 656 died leaving 284 active cases. The case fatality rate in the UT is 1.66 per cent and recovery rate 97.62 per cent. </span>
