Defending champion Saina Nehwal's suffered a narrow loss to Olympic Champion Li Xuerui in the semifinals of the India Open Super Series badminton tournament in New Delhi on Saturday. The 26-year-old Indian lost 20-22, 21-17,19-21 to Li in an edge-of-the-seat thriller in the women's singles competition. With her defeat, the home challenge came to an end at the Siri Fort Complex.In the women's singles final tomorrow, Li Xuerui will take on former World Champion Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand.In her semi-final, Ratchanok Intanon overcame Korean Bae Yeon Ju in straight games 21-8, 21-11.
