More than 550 former LTTE child combatants have been put up in the rehabilitation centres by the Sri Lankan government with a view to reintegrate them into the mainstream society. More than half of them are being given formal education while others are being provided vocational training . Majority of them are in the age group of 14 to 18 and more than 200 of them are girls. AIR Colombo correspondent met with a few of these soldiers in a rehabilitation centre at Vavuniya and spoke to them.
