55 dead after market row in northern Nigeria

<span style="font-size: 13.3333px;">Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari said that fifty-five people were killed in clashes between young Christians and Muslims in the northern part of the country following a dispute in a market his week. In a statement President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday condemned the latest communal violence in Kasuwan Magani in Kaduna State.</span><br style="font-size: 13.3333px;" />''<br style="font-size: 13.3333px;" />''<span style="font-size: 13.3333px; color: #222222;">He expressed concern that Nigerians were too frequently resorting to violence over misunderstandings. He appealed to community leaders to take part in the regular dialogue to prevent misunderstandings and foster a spirit of tolerance and patience.Kaduna state police commissioner Ahmad Abdur-Rahman told reporters on Friday 22 people had been arrested in connection with the violence.</span>
