54th Mid Term Symposium on 'Industry 5.0: The New Revolution' started in Imphal

The 54th Mid Term Symposium on 'Industry 5.0: The New Revolution started on Saturday at the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Imphal. Chief Minister Biren Singh encouraged scientists of the country to explore ideas for the development of the country. The symposium is being organised by the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (IETE).<br />'' <br />'' Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the symposium, Shri Biren said that the Fifth Industrial Revolution is a new and emerging phase of industrialization that sees humans working alongside advanced technology and A.I. powered robots to enhance workplace processes. It also refers to robots and smart machines working alongside people with added resilience and sustainability goals.<br />'' <br />'' He also lauded IETE for its research work in universities and colleges and also for setting up R&D labs in other countries. This enhances India's image globally in tune with Prime Minister's vision to make India as Vishwaguru, he added.
