A strong Consumer Interest Protection Authority will be established in the country to protect the interest of the consumers. This was disclosed by Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and PDS Ram Vilas Paswan at Kochi in Kerala Friday night. He said, it would not be parallel to the existing consumer forum and commissions. Mr Paswan also informed that anti-hording laws will be strengthened and an amendment bill in this regard will be tabled in the next session of Parliament. He said, the government is thinking of a national common market system to protect the interests of the farmers.
