India won a gold in the Women's Doubles squash event. Earlier 3 medals were won on the penultimate day of Glasgow Commonwealth Games.India has won gold in the squash. The magical pair of Joshna Chinnapa and Deepika Pallikal wrote history to have the golden bite in squash. They defeated England 11-6,11-8 for the gold rush. Boxing brought two medals from Laishram siblings.Sarita Devi lost to Australian Shelley Watts in the Women's 57 to 60 kg category and Devendro Singh was handed defeat by Paddy Barnes from Northern Ireland in Men's 49 kg weight class.All eyes are now on Vijender Singh and Mandeep Jangra who will be vying for top honours later in the night in their final bouts. The day began early in medals as India's Sakeena Khatoon notched up a bronze in women's light weight power lifting event. The best news in the day came from Hockey Field as Indian Men's team defeated New zealand in the semi finals 3-2. The team came from a goal deficit at half time to finish as winners at full time. The Indian team will be up against World Champions Australia on Sunday.Badminton has assured minimum of two medals for India. P Kashyap in Men's Singles–Ashwini Ponappa, Jawala Gutta duo in women's doubles entered finals. Today is last day of Athletics and Jamaican sprint star Usain Bolt will be seen in the men's 4×100 metres relay finals tonight. World's fastest man Bolt will be tasked with taking the squad home as the final sprinter. India's participation will also be evident in athletics.Though the road looks tough ahead to finish fourth in the Games but odds can't be denied for India.The Closing Ceremony of the games will be held on late Sunday night. India sits on the fifth spot in medals tally with 14 Gold 25 Silver and 16 bronze.
