Shooting brings laurels for India on the 3rd day of the 20th Commonwealth Games. India bagged a gold and 2 silver so far today taking its medal tally to 4 Gold, 6 Silver and 3 bronze.India's Apurvi Chandela bagged a gold medal and also created Games Record in qualifications in the 10m Air Rifle Event. Her compatriot Ayonika Paul bagged silver in the same event. Apurvi had entered the finals as leader of the board and games record to her name with 415.6 points. She maintained her lead till the end with 206.7 points in finals. Ayonika had entered the finals finishing fourth in the qualification. She came from behind in the finals and with a nervy start she went strong to clinch the silver with 204.9 points to her name.Earlier, Indian shooter Prakash Nanjappa won silver in 10m Air Pistol event. He finished with 198.2 points. He came into the final after finishing top in the qualifying round. In the Women's 10m Air Rifle event India's Anisa Sayyed and Rahi Sarnobat have qualified for the semi final of Women's 25m Pistol event.Indian Judokas had a tough day out as they failed to go above quarters round but they won their repechage bouts enabling them to fight for bronze. Parikshit Kumar in Men's +100kg and Sahil Pathania in 100 kg, Rajwinder Kaur in Women's +78kg and Jina Devi Chongtam in 78kg.Delhi's Commonwealth Gold medalist Manoj Kumar have defeated M Moshoeshoe from Lesotho in 64 Kg weight class to enter the round of 16.Indian Women's table tennis team have thrashed New Zealand 3-Nil to enter the semi finals. They will now face Singapore in the semis. The Men's team will battle out against hosts for the semi final berth in Men's table tennis event.Indian Weightlifters participation will be witnessed from Meena Kumari and Punam Yadav in the Women's 63kg division, while Omkar Otari will feature in the Men's 69kg category.Indian shuttlers are looking formidable as they have yet to loose any match in the Mixed team events so far. Tonight they will eye for a semifinal berth as they take on Canada.
