Discus thrower Navjeet Kaur Dhillon has clinched a bronze medal at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Eugene, USA. With this , she set a new personal best, covering an impressive 56.36 meters with her throw at the Hayward Field last night. Her previous best was 53.97 meters which she recorded while winning the Junior Federation Cup at Chennai in May this year. The 19 year old became only the second Indian to grab a medal at the IAAF World Junior Championships, after Seema Antil's effort in Kingston, Jamaica in 2002. Incidentally, Seema won a gold medal in 2000 at Santiago de Chile, but was disqualified thereafter due to doping violations.
