India bagged two silvers and a bronze on the third day of the 16th Asian junior athletics championships at Taipei City today.Middle-distance runner JessyJoseph missed the gold medal by a whisker in the 800 metres. A trainee of PT Usha, Kerala's Joseph settled for a silver when Japan's Ryoko Hirano edged past him by two-hundredth of a second. Hirano clocked 2 minutes, 06.75 seconds while Joseph had a time of 2 minutes, 06.77 seconds. India's Archana Adhav joined Jessy on the podium with her third place finish.India's second silver of the day came in the 100 metre hurdles. Karnataka girl Meghana Shetty came second in the event with a personal best 14.09 seconds.China and Japan are leading in the medals table with 10 gold medals each at the end of third and penultimate day of the championships.
